Most Americans do not contribute to political campaigns.  In fact, most Americans do not vote.  So why should anyone care what they think?  Most Americans pay taxes, but unfortunately, paying taxes does not buy you a voice in how tax money is spent.

Let’s face facts!  Even if you do vote but you are not a big contributor to political campaigns, whom do you think the politicians (your elected representatives) will listen to when it is time for a critical decision?  We all know the folks who steer political opinion in our community.  They are highly organized; special interest groups and they pay big money so politicians will favor their requests.  But remember, politicians cannot serve the special interest until you elect them.  Ironically, you still hold the key!!

As a taxpayer you are the largest and potentially the most powerful special interest group.  The problem is you are not organized.  CommonSenseGovernment is a special interest organization for taxpayers.  Because you are such a large group a small contribution from each of you can create tremendous political power.  You need only to do three things:

#1.       Listen carefully to what we have to say and remember we speak only as taxpayers.

#2.       Vote to remove politicians who do not always represent the interest of all taxpayers.  Better to elect an unknown than to re-elect a problem!

#3.       If you like what we are doing, tell us, and send along a small contribution to offset mailing and promotion costs.
